Canned Soup

I made up this recipe when I had no idea what to make for dinner, I had a lot of canned foods so I decided to use them. I hope this works for you as good as it works for me. Serve hot with homemade cornbread and green salad.

Step: 1

Puree stewed tomatoes in an electric blender or mixer. Place tomatoes, refried beans, corn, green beans, and vegetable broth in a large pot. Cook over a medium heat. Refried beans and tomatoes will cook down to create a base for the soup. Stir occasionally to prevent stickiness.

Step: 2

Add water as needed to prevent over-thickening. Add oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper, basil, parsley, and minced onion. Cover and cook until mixture is heated through. Add the onions, and continue cooking until the soup is just boiling.

The name of “stew” can process to both a food and a cooking method. Stewing makes not fast cooking chunks of meat, raw fruit or beans in a flavorful water based . It’s similar to braising, instead it makes have a few notable differences. The raw animal vested is chopped into smaller pieces but of being cooked whole , and the water based material completely covers the contents in a stew as compared to a braise’s halfway all of it . When meat or vegetables are cooked using this method, the resulting dish is called stew.

Stew has a reputation for being a rib-sticking eating process that comfortable you up on a freezing , winter day. It’s true ; a bowl of classic beef stew does have warming properties , but stew’s comfort factor goes way beyond preserving you from the cold . It’s all about those soft and chunks of meat and vegetables, swimming in a thick, ultra-rich gravy. The way they come together make the greatest comfort food, no matter the weather.
