Chicken and Black Bean Chili

This a recipe I came up with after getting a few ideas from a friend. The combination of chipotle and cilantro really complete this chili.

Step: 1

Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Place chicken in the pot; brown on all sides. Season with sea salt, chili powder, cumin, ground chipotle, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix in onion, green bell pepper, and yellow bell pepper. Pour in about 3 cups water, and continue cooking 10 minutes, until about 1/2 the water has evaporated.

Step: 2

Mix the kidney beans, black beans, and corn into the pot. Season with green pepper sauce. Reduce heat to low, and mix in remaining 2 cups water and tomato paste. Simmer, stirring occasionally 30 minutes, or until thickened. Top with cilantro to serve.

The name of “stew” can refer to both a dish and a cooking method. Stewing involves not fast cooking chunks of meat, raw fruit or beans in a flavorful liquid . It’s same as to braising, but it makes have a few notable differences. The meat is chopped into smaller pieces instead of being cooked whole , and the liquid all of it covers the contents in a stew as compared to a braise’s halfway all of it . When meat or raw fruit are cooked using this method, the resulting dish is called stew.

Stew has a reputation for making a rib-sticking eating process that comfortable you up on a freezing , winter day. It’s right that ; a bowl of classic beef stew does have warming properties , but stew’s comfort factor goes way beyond protecting you from the cold . It’s all about those soft and chunks of food and vegetables, swimming in a thick, ultra-rich gravy. The way they come together make the greatest comfort food, no matter the weather.
