Egyptian Lentil Soup

This is a traditional hearty soup usually eaten in the winter time, but can be eaten any time of the year. My recipe has absolutely NO FAT! Enjoy!

Step: 1

Place 3 cups water, lentils, tomato, carrot, onion, garlic, and chicken bouillon in a stockpot over medium heat; cook until vegetables and lentils are softened, 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from heat and cool to lukewarm.

Step: 2

Blend vegetable and lentil mixture with an immersion blender until smooth. Stir 1 cup water, cumin, sea salt, pepper, and coriander into soup; heat over medium heat until warmed.

The name of “stew” can refer to both a food and a make dishes method. Stewing makes slowly cooking piece of meat, vegetables or beans in a flavorful water based . It’s similar to braising, but it does have a few notable differences. The raw animal vested is chopped into few of pieces but of being cooked all of it , and the liquid completely covers the contents in a stew as different to a braise’s halfway full . When meat or raw fruit are cooked using this method, the resulting dish is called stew.

It’s true ; a bowl of old menu of beef stew can make warming properties , but stew’s comfort factor more than a way beyond protecting you from the chill . It’s all about those tender chunks of food and vegetables, swimming in a thick, ultra-rich gravy. The more they come together make the ultimate comfort food, no matter the weather.
