Mexican Goulash

A quick mid-week dinner.

Step: 1

Cook the ground beef and onion into a large skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly, about 10 minutes. Break the meat apart as it cooks. Drain the excess grease.

Step: 2

Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Once the water is boiling, stir in the macaroni, and return to a boil. Cook the pasta uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the pasta has cooked through, but is still firm to the bite, about 8 minutes. Drain well in a colander set in the sink.

Step: 3

Add the macaroni to the the beef and onion and place over medium-low heat; stir in the processed cheese until melted, about 3 minutes. Add the salsa, pinto beans, and corn to the mixture; stir and heat until the mixture bubbles slightly, another 5 minutes.

The name of “stew” can refer to both a food and a make dishes method. Stewing involves slowly cooking piece of meat, raw fruit or beans in a tastefull liquid . It’s same as to braising, instead it makes have a few notable differences. The raw animal vested is chopped into smaller pieces instead of being cooked whole , and the liquid completely covers the contents in a stew as different to a braise’s halfway full . When meat or raw fruit are cooked using this method, the resulting dish is called stew.

Stew has a reputation for being a rib-sticking meal that warms you up on a cold , winter day. It’s true ; a bowl of old menu of beef stew does have warming properties , but stew’s comfort factor more than a way beyond preserving you from the cold . It’s all about those tender chunks of food and vegetables, swimming in a thick, ultra-rich gravy. The way they come together make the greatest comfort food, no matter the weather.
