Simple Chicken and White Bean Soup

A simple chicken and bean soup with a little kick. This soup is great on a cold evening after a busy day. This recipe was shared with me by a friend I truly miss.

INGRIDIENT

DIRECTION

Step: 1

Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Saute onion and garlic in hot oil until softened, about 5 minutes. Remove onion and garlic to a small bowl.

Step: 2

Stir chicken into any remaining oil in the pot; cook and stir until completely browned, 5 to 7 minutes. Return onion mixture to the pot; add beans, broth, chiles, cilantro, salt, and cayenne pepper.

Step: 3

Bring the soup to a boil, reduce heat to medium-low, and cook until the beans are very tender and the chicken cooked through, about 20 minutes.

The name of “stew” can process to both a food and a cooking method. Stewing makes slowly cooking chunks of meat, vegetables or beans in a tastefull liquid . It’s similar to braising, instead it does have a few notable differences. The meat is chopped into smaller pieces instead of being cooked whole , and the water based material completely covers the essential in a stew as compared to a braise’s halfway full . When meat or vegetables are cooked using this method, the resulting dish is called stew.

Stew has a perception for being a rib-sticking eating process that comfortable you up on a freezing , winter day. It’s right that ; a bowl of classic beef stew can make warming featured food , but stew’s comfort factor goes way beyond preserving you from the cold . It’s all about those tender chunks of meat and vegetables, swimming in a thick, ultra-rich gravy. The way they come together make the greatest comfort food, no matter the weather.
