Slow Cooker Beef Chili

I know everyone has a slow cooker chili recipe that they say is the best… Well here is another one that I am adding to the list. I believe this one carries a good challenge to all of those out there. This has been a favorite always of my family and friends, so let me know what you think and let’s create a melting pot for the perfect slow cooker chili dish. Serve topped with sour cream, shredded Cheddar cheese, chopped chives, hot sauce, and sliced jalapenos (or habanero if you like the heat).

Step: 1

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic; cook, stirring frequently, until softened, 4 to 5 minutes. Stir in ground beef, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until beef is lightly browned and crumbly, 5 to 8 minutes.

Step: 2

Transfer beef mixture to a slow cooker. Stir in black beans, kidney beans, and diced tomatoes and chiles. Cover and cook on Low, stirring occasionally, 8 to 10 hours.

The name of “stew” can refer to 2 time a food and a make dishes method. Stewing makes not fast cooking piece of meat, vegetables or beans in a tastefull water based . It’s same as to braising, instead it does have a few piece of differences. The raw animal vested is chopped into smaller pieces instead of being cooked all of it , and the liquid completely covers the contents in a stew as different to a braise’s halfway full . When meat or raw fruit are cooked using this method, the resulting dish is called stew.

Stew has a reputation for being a rib-sticking meal that warms you up on a cold , winter day. It’s right that ; a bowl of old menu of beef stew can make warming featured food , but stew’s comfort factor goes way beyond preserving you from the chill . It’s all about those soft and chunks of meat and vegetables, swimming in a thick, ultra-rich gravy. The way they come together creates the ultimate comfort food, no matter the weather.
